Celebrity Wedding Dresses

I know, I know, I said I was going to redesign the site last week, but I really haven’t had the time. So Celebrity wedding dresses will have to keep the old design for another week or two. I have however been scorching the net for some wedding dresses, but have come up short. How is getting married these days? I do not know actually, doesn’t seem to be many tieing the knot. But there are plenty of celebrities getting engaged!

The Kirsten Bell engagement ring can be seen just slightly on the photo below, so yeah, she has gotten engaged. Her fiancé bought her an emerald cut diamond ring (3 carat) and I guess that was that. You can’t say “no” to a diamond ring, obviously.

The Jamie Hince and Kate Moss engagement has also been a hot topic these last weeks. I couldn’t find a photo of the engagement ring, but here a nice picture of the couple (err…it really isn’t nice that picture when I think about it considering she is a one of the most beautiful women in the world).

I have asked this question before but will ask it again: When will a hot guitarist or rich guy come and buy me a carat-rich ring and ask me to marry him? Not soon I guess!

In other news several actors were seen in “celebrity wedding dresses” on the red carpet for the Golden Globe awards. These were not wedding dresses per say, but were made by wedding dress designers and could easily be worn to a wedding…I would definitely go for it!

Yeah, she is hot! But perhaps even hotter these days is Kristen Bell. The Kirsten Bell dress for her Golden Globe appearance was made by Jasmine di Milo, and was short and stunningly sexy! Check her out…

Who wouldn’t wear that to there wedding? Add a tiara and a train and you have got yourself a celebrity wedding dress to remember for ever. Here’s another look.

Ok, I really want to make some changes to the site in the next weeks, but I need some feedback from you guys and gals. I know that you want to see the celebrity wedding dresses photos and aren’t really that concerned about the design, but there certainly has to be some upgrades that can be done on the site. Please leave a comment if you have a suggestion.

As I mentioned above, there have been more celebrity engagements than celebrity weddings lately, so no new photos of real wedding dresses today. Just heard some rumours that Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher might get married this month, so hopefully I will be able to find some photos of the Isla Fisher wedding dress. But most likely the wedding will be held in all privacy, so we will just have to see.

I am back, in black, or white….or pink! I am thinking about redoing the celebrity wedding dresses web site, as it really is ugly. The point of the uglyness was to put the focus on the dresses, but lately I have just grown tired of the dullness. The site is sooo grey, even though it actually is white. Most likely, I will do a redesign in a couple of days and have something pink-o-lishis up before long. Anyways, stay tuned for a redesign!

Oh, and for today’s post I am going to give you pictures of one of the hottest celebrity stars out there these days. She is one of the stars of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. No, no, no, Summer Glau hasn’t gotten married, so rest assured you guys out there, she is still available for wedding offers (although her current boyfriend probably won’t be too happy about it). The Summer Glau wedding dress photos are from a shoot she did on Hawaii (or is it IN Hawaii?) for a yet to be named movie. Here we go!

And of course, when you’re that hot, you’re boyfriend is of course watching your every move. Here he is sweeping Summer Glau off her feet, and is (hopefully for the guys out there) as close as he get’s to marrying the hottie!

Ok, ok, so you are tired of hearing about Britney Spears? Yeah, I thought so…but I don’t care! You can’t run a celebrity wedding dress site and not have tons of posts about her wedding dress. After all, she did get married twice in 2004, which is 20000% more than I got married that year. Oh, and she also had a Monique Lhuillier wedding dress that was custom made for her in all secrecy. Well, paparazzi figured out everything about the secret wedding, and the pictures were leaked. I guess that is the price you pay when everybody and their sister buys your albums.

Celebrity wedding dresses like the one Britney Spears used when she married are way over my budget, but that doesn’t mean I can’t dream about them, and hope for mr. right to come along and buy me one. Don’t want to necessarily marry him, just give me a strapless and white wedding dress, with a long veil and tiara, made by Monique Lhuillier, and you can be on your way again. Thank you and bye, bye

From time to time I will write about stuff that isn’t about a celebrity wedding dress per se (oh the french), and today is one of those days. Everybody seems to know who Khloe Kardashian is, and that she got married to Lamar Odom. Well, rumours are that they aren’t anyway, oh and then that they are…but anyways back on track. The Kloe Kardashian engagement ring has shown up on pictures, and it is spectacular. 

The celebrity engagement ring, which has a radiant cut 9.5 karat center diamond, and an estimated price of who knows how many hundreds of thousands, is quite fantastic for that size of a ring. Sometime these mega rings become too much, but I like this one. Check it out! 

My only question is, who is going to buy an engagement ring like that for me? Anyone…?

Melissa Smith is best know as a star in the reality shows Making the Band 3 and The Search For the Next Doll. She is listed as a Canadian pop singer, choreographer, model and actress.
 
Recently she got married to Philadelphia Phillies Major League Baseball player Shane Victorino, in Hawaii of all places (no jealosousy here…noooo . The couple got married in a church that lies beside the school in Wailuku her husband attended as a child. Shane was safe from danger during the wedding, as he had his best man The Iceman “Chuck Liddell” by his side throughout the ceremony. Chuck is know as one of the best UFC fighters of all times, and is a hottie!
 

300 guest were invited to the wedding, but I was unfortunately not one of them (I looked in my mailbox every day up to the wedding date…nooothing).

Sarah Harding, born Sarah Nicole Hardman in Ascot on the 17th of November, is an English model, actress and singer best know for being one of the lead vocalist in the pop band Girls Aloud. She was picked to be in the band after being on the TV show Popstars The Rivals, after deafeting Javine Hylton for the final place in the group.
 
I recently found a photo of her at the wedding of Celia Gordon Shute and Charles Dunstone, and what strikes me is that she would go down as the best Victoria Beckham look a like ever.

Just have a look at the photo below. Wouldn’t she pass as Victoria Beckham any day?

 
But Sarah Harding doesn’t really look like a Viktoria Beckham look a like normally, it’s just that one picture. As you can see below she look completely different.

I know, I know, this isn’t a celebrity wedding dress, but I though the picutres were cool anyhow.

Ah, we all love those top 10 lists don’t we? Well today I am giving you the top 10 celebrity wedding dresses of all time. There are the most extravagant and beautiful wedding dresses ever photographed, or at least that is what I would like to think.

This list is not set in stone, and I will update it as I find celebrity wedding dress photos that deserve a place.

Many of these dresses cost several tens of thousands of dollars, so feel free in joining me in dreaming about how these would fit you for your wedding. Of course, do these celebrities actually pay for these dresses? That is a question I would like to have an answer to.

Ok, let’s get on with the list.

1. Heidi Montag

One of the hot stars of the MTV reality show The Hills got married to Spencer Pratt in the Westminister Presbyterian Church in Pasadena on April 25 2009. The Heidi Montag wedding dress was made by Monique Lhuillier and is estimated to have cost $20.000. Ai likes it a lot!
 
 
 

2. Milla Jovovich

Milla Jovovich was married to director Paul Anderson on August 22 2009. The wedding took place outdoors, at their home in Beverly Hills, California. The Milla Jovovich wedding dress was actually made by none other than….Milla Jovovich. Yes, she created her own dress, which had a 60’s inspired look.

3. Rhea Durham

Mark Walhbergs and his long time girlfriend got married on August 1 (another summer wedding). The strapless Rhea Durham wedding dress was made by Marchesa
 

 

4. Coleen McLoughlin / Coleen Rooney

Sorry guys, ain’t got a picture of this dress, but there are tons of them on the Internet. The dress was priced at a wopping £100.000 and is spectacular. I will see if I can get a hold of a picture legally

5. Beyonce

Ok, ok, ok, this wasn’t for a wedding, but at the 2009 BET Awards she wore a pretty peculiar wedding dress. Not sure who made it, leave a comment if you know.
 

 

This ends part one of the Top 10 Celebrity Wedding Dresses of 2009. As you might have noticed, I don’t have pictures of all the wedding dresses as of now. I truly believe in following copyright laws, because if I don’t my web site might be shut down. LOL, not the most idealistic reasons to follow the law, but it keeps me on the right track.

So bare with me until I can hunt down the missing pictures from a free source, or find a royalty source that doesn’t charge a leg and an arm. As an example, a photo of the Ivanka Wedding dress, which by the way is beautiful and will probably rank on top of the list as soon as I get it in, would cost me $15 a month to have on this site. One picture, of the Ivanka dress, mind you. That is simply to expensive for me.
